Miki + Ashley
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00AM Good morning! I don't usually chat about editing on here but this film is a good example of how we go about editing. Sometimes couples choose music that they want us to use, and other times they leave it up to us. In Miki and Ashley's case, they left it up to us. We usually will pick something based off of the music that was played at the wedding (walking down the aisle, first dance, etc). Miki walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of "Falling Slowly", a song that has some personal meaning to me as well. The great thing about that song is there are 4 different versions of it (acoustic w/vocals, string quartet instrumental, piano instrumental, and full band w/vocals). We were able to construct our own music track using all those versions of the song.
After the music track was laid down, we laid segments of the ceremony and toasts around it to see which fit the best and still told Miki and Ashley's story. Halfway through the edit, I watched it play back and it didn't seem to really "work". So we scrapped it and started from scratch, tried some different things, and it ended up working so much better! We hope you enjoy it, congratulations to Miki and Ashley!

Miki...I kept telling everyone we were walking on holy ground. The sense of the Spirit was so strong, and the love pouring out from the two of you overflowed to everyone who was there to support you and Ashley. I feel that Spirit every time I play this video of your wedding day. May God continue to bless your marriage as you continue to keep your eyes on Him.

Umm. Miki.. That was amazing. I know we aren't way close as friends but to see such beauty and happiness and so much reference to God at such a magical moment in two peoples lives really uplifts me. I Love you girl for your beauty and for all the things you strive to be and are true to. Congrats.

Hands down the best wedding video I've ever seen. And not just because I'm the best man and I get a ton of face time and I basically narrate the video. Seriously though guys, you did an amazing job and I'm so happy that Miki & Tre found you. Your eye for great shots blew me away and the editing is terrific. Wonderful job.

Oh my...it brought me to tears and refreshed for me the blessing of our God bringing you, Ashley and Miki, together. How beautifully put together this video is, and how wonderfully it expresses your love for each other. It does give the experience of Gods Holiness...and is just a tiny taste of what is to come in your lives as you keep Him on the throne of your hearts. What a blessing! Love you so much......

Tom, what do I say to someone who gave me the most perfect gift for my wedding? The gift of purpose--if ever there is a time in my marriage when I have forgotten what my marriage to Miki is about, I can look at this video, and the full length, and capture why God placed the two of us together. The purpose of our marriage, to glorify God and bring a better picture of His perfect love for us. You have blessed us both, and we are so grateful that you have committed your talents to God.

What a stunning wedding video. The wedding itself was so spirit-filled and such a reflection of God's love. And how well and beautifully it was captured in this incredible work of art. The integrity and genuineness of Miki and Ashley's love for each other was evident. This is a prize-winner.
